Back cover :
This novel describes the last months of a young, prodigy composer of the nineteenth century, Julius Reubke. He was a preeminently romantic personality, a brilliant pupil of Liszt, precociously torn away from a promising career. He left behind him very few works, including a monumental sonata for organ.
The novel enables the imagination to fill up the gaps of history and tries to retrace the circumstances surrounding the origin of that extraordinary sonata.
